Our designers each possess an
excellent list of credentials and unique talents that allow them to work
in multiple media and styles. This ensures that your design is born of
education, experience and vision.
We are pleased to mention that,
all of our Designers, have been certified by, the
National Kitchen
and Bath Association
(NKBA). This Association of Kitchen and Bath Design professionals, is
completely focused and dedicated to continuous education as a means to
keep it’s members at the top of their field. It is imperative that, as
the living environments we create evolve, we stay “ahead of the curve”. By dealing with a Certified
Kitchen Designer
(CKD), you know that education, understanding and professionalism are
part of the package.

Oscar Fonseca, CKD, B Industrial Design:
Oscar moved to Canada a few years ago with a formal University
education as an Industrial Designer, and has now completed his CKD
certification. Although trained as an industrial designer, his
passion lies in the kitchen (he does most of the cooking at
home...at least that is what he tells us!). He is a whiz in computer
assisted design, as well as a gifted artist. His hand drawn concepts
are often all people need in order to "see" their new environments
come to life. On top of all that, he became a Canadian Citizen in
2007!

| As our Design Director, Robert is
usually the first point of contact with our clients. His role is to
determine what services are needed, which designer will best fit the
project, and what products will be utilized to accomplish the
clients goals. Robert has spent many years in the kitchen industry,
in various capacities. He spent several years as the Western
Regional Sales Manager for Thermador. Later, as the Marketing
Manager and Technical Design Advisor for the Sub-Zero/Wolf National
showroom in Alberta, he became involved with the NKBA and the CACC,
and followed this new path the Heartwood. His experience gives him
extensive knowledge of the many kitchen products available in the
market, and and excellent understanding of the functional placement
of kitchen equipment, as well as residential ventilation issues. Robert is
currently working on his AKBD accreditation, as well as looks forward to
becoming a full-fledged CKD in the future. |
